Can you use an router or access point or switch that is made for indoor use outdoors? We open up a router that has been used outdoors and see.
WARNING: Using mains powered (ex: 110 or 220 volt) items outdoors is extremely dangerous unless they are specifically designed for outdoor use. Even those with "AC" adapters or "wall warts" can malfunction and deliver dangerous or fatal shocks.
